What I Did On My Easter Vacation
I had off Friday – Monday. So did I relax, play xbox, lounge around, and overall veg out? Nope. I stripped the wallpaper in my kitchen and painted it. Well, most of the wallpaper, anyway. Seems that under the wallpaper there was…another layer of wallpaper! Fun. And most of it didn’t want to come off. So, after getting as much as I could easily get down, and after much thought, I decided to just paint over everything as is. Painted over wallpaper, backing, and plain wall. It’s definitely a uniquely-textured kitchen now.
Check it out. The color is called “skyline steel” by behr. It’s kind of a light grayish, with maybe a hint of blue. That’s fine, it goes well with the gray/blue tiles in the kitchen.
Oh yeah. My parents and I also walked the Crescent City Classic Saturday. Finished in 2:12 or so.
That reminds me. Of two kind of inter-related things. And one realization that I just now made.
I’m watching a new show on AMC called The Killing. It’s got someone from just about every show Rose and I have ever watched together. It’s like Lost of the tv world (everyone coming together from all different lives to be in one place together). I told her that if I hadn’t already asked to marry her, I’d take that as some sort of sign. Then I was telling my parents that during Holy Week, I had an interesting 3-set of 3s. On monday I went to lunch, and saw 3 people I knew. On Thursday, I went to lunch and to the CCC expo, and saw 3 people I knew. During the CCC, I saw 3 people I knew. This after worrying about not knowing anyone in G-ville and not being able to use connections to get a job, or hang out, or do cool stuff, or whatever. Should I take my “The Killing” sign and put it together with my “3 – 3s” sign? Perhaps. And a sign of what? Considering it was during Holy Week…you decide. 😉
