That’s the title of not only a 1982 slow jam by Jeffrey Osborne, but also of the latest season of the bachelor. I use it here now because I’m sitting at BWI waiting to fly home from Vienna, VA, where Rose will be doing her internship for the next year. Yup, one month since we got married and I’m already a bachelor again.
So, I guess, if this were a slideshow presentation, the bullet points would be, wings; love; bachelor.
Oh yeah. That’s rose at ikea posing with a chair named Jeff. Yes, they name their products at ikea. Yeah, I didn’t know either.
Facebook world: This is Jeff posting.
So, even though i should be sleeping, and should’ve been for about 2 hours now, I accidentally fought through my tired and got my second wind. Regardless, I’m going to bed after this update.
While working on a soon-to-be launched re-vamped website for someone (hm, who could that be…), I found out more about the wonderful world of wordpress and plugins. So i decided to test it on roseandjeff.info. So now, not only do i get to test stuff that I may go live with on someone’s site, but I also get to get word of this blog out to more people…heh heh heh. Rose has the ability to post blogs here too, but I don’t know that she actually will. 😉
For now, whenever we (i) post a new blog, it should come up over in facebook. You can click the title link to go to the actual page. I think. What can I say, I’m testing.
It’s still a work in progress though. There’s all these other features that I’m trying to enable that I just haven’t gotten the hang of yet. So, we’ll see how that goes.
Goodnight!
So begins the journey home. 1000+ miles. Over 2 days shouldn’t be so bad.
Went to cedar point yesterday. Fun! Who needs red bull when u have a coaster that sends u 120 mph and straight up and down 420 feet?? 🙂
Fran’s (rose’s mom) surprise party went off perfectly yesterday. You’d think the tent was put up by professionals.
Today was a lazy day. This afternoon we went to a spanish mass that Jim (rose’s dad) was serving, followed by ice cream.
I played scrabble today for the first time in a long time. I think the last time I played scrabble was also against a Rose Peters…
Went to the dunes today. I went all the way to the lake (about 1.7mi of dunes) two years ago, just to say I did it. Went just over a half mile with rose and my parents today. Rose and my dad went a little further. My mom and I weren’t really up for it.

First off, mega-congrats to Ken!! Watch Stu’s Song, the presentation of best wtf moment, and his acceptance speech.
We have made it to Michigan, where it’s daylight til 10pm and, when I woke up at 9am, it was 51 degrees. That’s ok, it gets warmer during the main part of the day. I have two weather warnings on my phone. Nola has a heat advisory, and traverse city has a freeze advisory. 😛
My parents fly in this afternoon. Other than that I have no idea what’s in store for the next 4 days.
Daisy loves running around, and Sam loves laying around looking at Daisy like she’s crazy. 🙂
Ok, I guess I’ll get out of bed now…
That’s where we were earlier and will be later tonight. Saw the stained glass museum, cirque shanghai, and rode the ferris wheel at navy pier. Walked around a bit, saw the hob, and back to the hotel for a short while before going to IO Theater. Unfortunately the hotel doesn’t have mtv or else id be cheering ken on for his two nominations, plus hangover for best movie. Ah well. Go ken!
Sorry, I’ve been slacking. I don’t even have a reason. It’s not like I just got married or something… just like the rehearsal party, thanks to everyone who made that kick ass as well. I’ll update this site in the next few weeks.
We’ve already been thru memphis and nashville. Now we’re in champaign, il, where rose spent lots of school time. Next stop: chicago.
Pictures:
“I’m so strong and naked and alone. And I have big nuts.”
Allerton park. Met someone from slidell. The fleur de lis gave it away.
Chinese musician. Pic of me with one on rose’s camera. I took a picture of this one for russ. I call it, “ancient chinese washboard player using popeye’s drumstick as spoons.”
