UPDATE!!
For those of you who are bringing food, we just found out that we cannot drop food off at the church after all which means we will have to drop things off before the ceremony instead. We will be setting up the Howlin Wolf from 10am until we are done (the wedding is at 1:30pm four blocks away at Saint Patrick's Church on Camp Street) which will include tables, chairs, centerpieces, and food.

You can drop food and supplies off anytime between 10am and wedding time (the Wolf staff should be there after we leave in case some of you are cutting it close!). We'll help set up and prepare things as much as we can, talk to the Wolf staff about refrigeration and icing things that need it, and help you with whatever you need for your dishes. We will have a number of chafing dishes for things that need to stay warm, a toaster/convection over for things that may need a little cooking, cutting board, knives, and can find other things by request. Let me or Jeff know if you need anything available to you.

Since Jeff and I already have loads of "stuff", we decided we wanted people to contribute to the wedding and reception instead of having much of a registry. One of the things that I have come to love about New Orleans is how folks like to come together to help each other out whether it's to tear down a house or throw a party. I'd like to bring this same spirit and sense of uniqueness to our wedding day. We are thinking of having a pot luck which should provide ample opportunity for folks to contribute, but time helping set up and tearing down, photographs and video, offering space and travel help to out of town guests, etc are all appreciated. We also know that many of you have loads of talent, musical and otherwise, and we think it would be terrific to be able to share some of that with our friends from outside NOLA, so if you want to come by Thursday or even to the reception prepared with a song or two, a reading, or something else up your sleeve, we will love it!

We will provide a basic staple of Popeye's and po-boys, most booze, and of course cake, and then have folks pitch in with chips, potato salad, veggie plates, sides, vegetarian and vegan dishes, other desserts, plates, cups, plastic-ware, serving platters, coolers, etc. Please sign up below for something that suits you and if you have a special dish that is not on the list, just let us know what you want to bring and we'll fill it in for you.

The current plan is to have you bring enough food for 15-20 people. If you are bringing plates, cups, and things of that nature, bring enough for 200 people. Afterwards, please bring any leftovers with you or let us know if you would like the remaining food donated to our local shelter.

If you have any comments on how we can organize things better, please feel free to get in touch with us. We appreciate all your help and love!

-Rose and Jeff

p.s. If you would rather do the registry thing, it's here.
